 विद्यार्थीका  ५ लक्षणहरू | Five Characters/Qualities of Students

Most of US think that the person who learns or studies is the student. But wait there is some criteria to be a student and if you follow those criteria then not only a good student but you can be a best person and a best student in your life and also you can get everything you want.

The five qualities/Characteristics of students.

According to our Vedas if you are the student then you will definitely success in your life but more than 90% of you are not the student according to Vedas. So let's start reading this blog and let's know what are the criteria to be student.

For your kind information I would like to tell you that to be student is not so easy. We  the people of reels/shorts video generation even don't have time more than 15 seconds towards a long video we have lost the patience of watching long videos and we have turned into the electronic era. Everything now a days we want just in digital form even the books and everything. But well using digital resources is not bad we can utilise this digital resources to achieve more goals and we can also learn a lot of topics /things just in very few seconds to minutes.

All the people that studies or learn are not the student according to our Vedas, there are five criterias that need to be full field to see a learner a student. These five characteristic qualities or criterias are in a Sanskrit shlok

"काक चेष्टा बको ध्यानं, श्वान निद्रा तथैव च । अल्पहारी गृह त्यागी, विद्यार्थी पंच लक्षणं"

If you are family with Sanskrit language then it will be very easy to you but if you are not then you can also get those look up to some extend. But for proper and complete knowledge let's know it and everywhere in a beautiful way so let's get started.

The first sentence is "काक चेष्टा बको ध्यानं"[काक=crow & चेष्टा=Care]. This means that the student should be careful as crow (काक/काग). As we have heard the story of thirty crow in which a crow collects a number of pebbles and put them into a 🍯 pot where there was some amount of water. After putting a number of pebbles, finally the waters level rises of and the crow becomes able to drink water. In the same way, learners should be such a careful about the studies that they can do any hard work to gain some knowledge from book or Gurus i.e. teachers. In short, student should be just like the unstoppable and hard working crow that always struggle to have something or to drink some water, student should not stop and keep learning and do hard working to gain some knowledge.

A crow struggling to survive and finding something to have.

The second part of this sentence is " बको ध्यानं" (बको=heron & ध्यानं= concentration) and this tells us all about the concentration or focus for the learners. The concentration or focus should just like that of Heron(बको).Heron a long necked and long feeted bird that eats fishes when the fishes comes near to it inside the river. They don't eat the dead fish, their concentration power is such a powerful that they eat the fishes in the fraction of second when the fishes accidentally come near to them. Like this learners brain should be very sharper & should have the concentration power very powerful that they can catch the concept of each and every topic in very lesser time.

The next line is "श्वान निद्रा तथैव च". The word 'श्वान' represents dog, निद्रा means sleeping &  तथैव च= just like or in the same way. If it has already been one or two hour or more than that to sleep the dog. And if we produce even very low sound then it will wake up. Just like this the sleeping style of the students should be same that they wake up even by a small sound. But wait, it's very difficult as more than 90% of the student sets their alarm in the night and turn off the alarm in the morning for the time which they had set last night because they don't like the alarm sound in the morning and they want to continue there.' If we wake up early in the morning then every thing will be earlier and vice versa.'

The another line is ' अल्पहारी गृह त्यागी' [अल्पहारी=to have a small amount of food, गृह त्यागी=to leave home]. At some stage of life we, feel more hungrier and some of us throughout the life and throughout the days but that is not the characteristic of a student students should be able to control on their foods and should try to consume less amount of food. But after that if you don't get the energy that much you are required then try chewing the food for some long time than you usually do so that the foods can be properly digested and we can get some high amount of energies. And in this way you can control your diet or food.

Most of the student need to leave their home for further studies or to continue there studies maybe after 10th 12th or bachelors. At that moment if the student is too emotional then they want to be able to  continue their studies because they will get attracted every time today old memories with their families or someone else as well. So the student need to control there emotions and hold those emotions for studies. Not only the attraction about your families but also in this is we people have a lot of attraction for our friends or girlfriend(s) as well. If you don't have any such friend then don't try to make during your hard studies as it will destroy your brain and you as well due to all those attractions. But if you already have then maintain your relationship and don't be over attracted and just give your attention to your studies rather than her.

If you have the above mentioned qualities or characteristics then you can only be said student. It seems quite difficult to be a student as it needs a lot of disciplines and self controls. If you follows above criterias than not only the student but you can be the successful person in your life.

May you people have some of the characteristics as mentioned above. Please don't forget to comment below what qualities that you had before ? And what qualities you are going to develop in yourself after this ? Was this blog helpful, if yes then comment and share to your friends as well and if no then please comment so that I could improve in another blogs.
